So the institute has always tried to develop and maintain relationships with the corporate world through industry Institute relationship initiatives. Students are trained on corporate communications, soft skills, presentation skills, formal etiquettes and much more, to help students plan their careers and look for the best opportunities available in the market , in accordance with their abilities and interests.
In view of this, the placement cell makes sure that students get to interact with industry professionals and experts on regular basis through seminars and workshops, industrial visits and study tours, and summer internships. Students are trained on the process of selection. i.e personal interviews, group discussions and written tests which include reasoning and aptitude.

The College is keen to provide its students the best of opportunities in the industry and help them explore their strengths through Career Counselling and Personality Development. As part of the same the College provides regular activities and seminars to enrich their global and industry perspective in a drive to up skill themselves for future challenges. As part of the same the college organizes various pre-placement talks and regular mentoring through experienced and trained faculty members.
Pre-Placement talks:
Numerous pre-placement talks are organized by the college on a regular basis to help students know and gather information of industry demands and expectations. This includes- Alumni Interaction, Interaction with Industry experts from various industries and talks by Recruiters.
Mentor Mentee System:
A Mentor Mentee system is in Place in the Institution since inception. The system aims at looking into individual student’s problems and difficulties associated and recommending them with suggestions regarding the issues faced to allow them enjoy the tenure at the institute. Each faculty member is allocated a group of 15-20 students from each batch who acts as a guardian and friend to them. The responsibility of a mentor is to understand the issues a student if facing and the helping such student to overcome the issue. This includes study/academic related issues, personal issues, issues related to health and hygiene, hostel issues, and so on.
Looking at the rapidly changing dynamics of the corporate world and with a view to empowering our students with the current and updated scenario, the corporate big wigs are invited on a regular basis for interaction with the students. Corporate personnel from different sectors like banking, FMCG, investment, Training and consultancy, Core Sectors, FMCD, Insurance, IT, ITES etc., visit the campus and interact with the students. It helps the students to co-relate the theoretical aspects taught in the classroom with real happening in day-to-day business, thus accelerating their core competencies. As a result the students after graduating successfully feel comfortable to work in multidimensional sectors with different domains. Thus, they get the synergy of capacity building and empowerment.
Keeping with our commitments towards incumbent students as well as the recruiters, USBM has always strived towards making students Industry ready from the very beginning. We believe that the Internship Programme apart from being a part of the course curriculum is necessary for a student to relate classroom learning to real life work environment. This is planned to be a rigorous training for six weeks (45 days to be precise) under the able guidance of Corporate Leaders of various industries/companies.
Internship apart from training and learning the real work processes, acts as a door for entering the job arena for the fresh, young management graduates. Many of our students owing to their hard work, honesty and determined efforts during internship, are offered jobs on completion of the internship period of six weeks.
